The third annual Bat Walk with retired biology instructor, Ron Ruppert, will take place on the evening

of Saturday, July 25 at 8pm. Ron will share many fascinating insights into the habits and mysteries of

these elusive flying mammals. During last year’s walk, he confirmed the presence of five different species of

bats:

*Mexican free-tailed bat (Tadarida brasiliensis)

*hoary bat (Lasiurus cinereus)

*silver-haired bat (Lasionycteris noctivagans)

*pallid bat (Antrozous pallidus)

*big brown bat (Eptesicus fuscus)
